Newton, Kan. (USD 373) - Offering the same early intervention services, the Infant Toddler team is now a part of, “Infant Toddler Services of Kansas serving Harvey County.”
The statewide rebrand promotes consistency across the network of early childhood experts on a mission to support Kansas families with infants or toddlers experiencing developmental delays or disabilities so every child can learn, grow, and achieve their fullest potential.
The Harvey County team is made up of Jonni Brown, Ashley Snodgrass, Dawn Franz and Rebecca Parnell, representing a range of specialties and certifications, and is based out of Cooper Early Education Center at 816 Oak Street, Newton, KS 67114.
All Kansas infants and toddlers (birth to age 3) are entitled to a free developmental evaluation to determine if they are eligible for early intervention services. Children who qualify can receive no-cost, in-home, early intervention services for developmental delays or disabilities.
According to a Kansas Department of Health and Environment study from 2019, 36.5% of Kansas children receiving early intervention services reach developmental milestones and do not require additional IDEA services after age 3, reducing the need for special education services at children grow and advance and an investment in our youngest residents - a great return for all Kansans.
